About

The ceremonial costume

If you are looking for a formal suit, the first thing that probably comes to mind is a black suit. However, you should know that for your wedding day, you will have more than just a simple black or navy suit! You will most likely be wearing a tuxedo! Unlike a simple black suit, tuxedos have lapels and buttons made of natural silk, are single-button and most often do not have flaps on the pockets. However, there is also an exception, less formal, namely the double-breasted jacket with buttons, also with natural silk lapels.

About

Ceremony pants

As for the pants, they have a black satin band, also known as a vipușca. Lately, however, the rules have relaxed a bit, so you can also opt for pants without a vipușca with a tuxedo. One of the most important things to keep in mind is that you have to feel very comfortable! You will party for hours on the dance floor or among the guests! Choose inspired from our range of wedding suits. See the ceremony packages that include made to measure suits, created to your measurements.

TYPE OF LAPEL

NOTCH LAPEL, NOTCH LAPEL OR SHAWL COLLAR?

Notched lapel

Notched lapels are the most common type of lapel on men's suits. You can wear this type of lapel if you are invited to a wedding, but you should definitely not choose it if you are looking for formal jackets. This type of lapel is a less formal option and is perfect for a navy suit. You will see it on many casual suits.

Notch lapel

The peaked or peaked lapel is our recommendation for a formal suit. Whether you opt for a blue formal suit, a navy blue suit or a black suit, the peaked lapel is the most appropriate choice. In addition to the elegance it offers, due to its position, this type of lapel will make you look taller and slimmer.

Shawl Collar

Unlike peaked lapel suits, shawl collar suits are typical of black tie attire and can be an alternative to peaked lapels. Although such a suit is a little more difficult to wear, it is definitely a standout option. However, if you want an unforgettable formal suit, choose a double-breasted tuxedo with a shawl collar.

WHITE TIE

Are you going to an event with a "white tie" dress code or do you simply want a fabulous outfit for your wedding? Choose a men's tailcoat! Special events need special outfits! Whether you choose a white tailcoat or a black tailcoat, it is very important that it is tailored to your measurements. For an impeccable outfit, it is preferable to choose a heavier material.

The shirt and accessories are elements that will attract attention, so pay close attention when choosing them. Fashion consultants will advise you on the right choices. Avoid wearing business shoes with a men's tailcoat. The only correct option is patent leather shoes. Attention! At a black tie event, it is preferable to wear a black tuxedo, with one row of buttons. A black tailcoat is worn at white tie events, not black tie! Avoid wearing a white tailcoat.

Fabrics and materials

If you've read this far, you already know that a black, single-breasted tuxedo is the winning option if you're looking for a groom's suit or if you're attending a wedding or gala event. There are two important things left to decide: the fabric and the color.

Because we know that suits made of questionable quality fabric are often sold, please pay attention to 2 very important aspects: First - the groom's suit should be made of 100% wool or wool and silk. The second aspect that you should take into account when purchasing a formal suit is the origin of the wool. Choose internationally certified manufacturers such as Holland&Sherry, Cerruti, Loro Piana, Scabal, Vitale Barberis Canonico.

Self-tie bow tie

If you have decided to wear a tuxedo (whether it is with a peaked or shawl lapel) or a tailcoat, you should know that the only accessory you should wear around your neck is a bow tie. We recommend that it be a self-tie, made of silk, in black - except for "white tie" events where you will have to wear a white one. Here, colors and prints do not exist although men's fashion erroneously promotes colored bow ties.

Handkerchief

Whether we are talking about men's suits in general, or groom suits in particular, you have to pay attention to the accessories. For a perfect look for a formal jacket, you will need a pocket square. Add a pocket square to your outfit for extra personality and style. The only correct option is the white one, made of cotton or natural silk. A man who wears a pocket square is a confident man.

Ceremony shoes

When choosing a custom-made formal suit, you should also consider a pair of high-quality, genuine leather shoes. Attention to detail makes all the difference, and a pair of elegant shoes will perfectly complement any man's outfit. That's why, especially on your wedding day, you need to be very careful when choosing your shoes.

If we are talking about a civil wedding, we can consider a pair of casual shoes, but when we are talking about the big event, whether you have chosen to wear a black suit, a blue suit or even a white jacket, you only have one option: black shoes! Patent leather shoes are the winning option for a formal suit, but you can also opt for a pair of black, semi-glossy genuine leather shoes, especially if you do not want them to stand out. The most important thing to keep in mind is that you will probably be wearing them for over 10 hours, so make sure you feel comfortable in them. A less formal, but accepted option that you can choose is the one in which you choose to wear oxford shoes. Of course, a pair of casual shoes or business shoes have no place with such an outfit and if you do not want to choose the patent leather option, you can wear oxford shoes.

Socks

Next to a pair of elegant shoes, there is a pair of quality socks. Thus, natural materials such as silk or a silk and cotton mix are the right choices. Make sure that the socks are the right length, so that when you sit down, the skin of your foot is not visible. Even with a blue formal suit, you will wear black socks.
